COOAAFRO-RO accompanied a technical visit by a delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to its partner company Agro Alta, to see the plant and the cornmeal manufacturing process first-hand and to assess supply and business opportunities with the Congolese market.
During the visit, the delegation’s representatives toured the Agro Alta facilities and followed the production, processing, packaging and storage stages of cornmeal. Information was also presented on production capacity, quality standards and the ability to meet international market demand.
The visit is part of COOAAFRO-RO‘s work to bring companies and producers from Rondônia closer to new markets, strengthening trade relations between the state and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Congolese delegation’s interest in cornmeal produced in Rondônia underlines the potential of the regional agro-industry and opens new prospects for selling Brazilian products on the African continent.
For COOAAFRO-RO, the visit is another step in building international partnerships and seeking concrete business opportunities, contributing to stronger regional production, income generation and Rondônia’s expansion into the international market.
