Production chain

Partnerships that strengthen the whole chain

COOAAFRO-RO maintains trade agreements with major input suppliers and agribusiness industries, expanding members’ negotiating power from one end of the production chain to the other — from buying inputs to selling cattle, corn, coffee and fish-farming products.

Meatpacking Industry

Trade agreements with regional meatpackers for joint marketing of members’ cattle, with better negotiating terms.

Input Suppliers

Partnerships with major suppliers of supplements, feed, seeds, fertilizers and pesticides for collective purchasing.

Financial Institutions

Relationships with banks and rural credit institutions to enable investment and working-capital lines for members.

International Cooperation

Dialogue with international partners interested in Rondônia’s cattle, coffee and fish-farming production chain.

Collective strength

One member alone negotiates less than 36 together

By pooling the production volume of all members, COOAAFRO-RO manages to sit at the table with industries and suppliers on terms an individual producer would rarely achieve alone — better prices on the buying side, and more negotiating strength on the selling side.

Every member keeps the freedom to negotiate with other partners on their own — the cooperative adds options, it doesn’t replace the producer’s autonomy.
