COOAAFRO-RO welcomed a delegation from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) on an important technical visit to its partner company Doce Dias, to see how the business is structured and to take forward talks on a possible supply of sugar to the Congolese market.
During the visit, the delegation toured the Doce Dias facilities and reviewed information on the products, supply capacity, quality standards, packaging and the other requirements involved in serving an international market.
The visit marks another step in COOAAFRO-RO’s strategy of bringing companies and producers from Rondônia closer to new international markets, creating business opportunities and strengthening trade relations with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Congolese representatives’ interest in Brazilian sugar shows the scope for expanding exports and establishing new commercial partnerships. The prospect of supply by Doce Dias, with COOAAFRO-RO’s support and coordination, also underlines the importance of cooperativism and of companies working together to reach new markets.
COOAAFRO-RO will continue identifying opportunities and building trade bridges between Rondônia and the African market, contributing to business creation, a stronger regional economy and the expansion of Brazilian production onto the international stage.
